Consummate your desire with the gift of jewellery

Wandering into A Jewellery Store named Desire is like being immersed in a twinkly cave of treasures all vying for immediate attention. The key theme of the jewellery collection, says owner Wayne Lippe, is to stock only designer exclusives - in fact, items that no one else in Australia handles.

Affordable beauty

However, don’t be alarmed by the designer tag used to describe these beauties. As Wayne is careful to explain, we do carry costume jewellery as well, which means they are all very affordable, as well as being bold and utterly different at the same time. Costume jewellery by the way is mainly used for fashion purposes, as opposed to precious jewellery which uses gems and diamonds.

One of the hottest selling items right now is the latest range from Pandora crafted from original Danish design. These are charm bracelets fashioned from 14 carat gold and sterling silver, and embellished with semi-precious stones.

Apparently, the Pandora collection is so popular that customers are inventing multiple excuses to revisit the store and add to their growing charm collection.

Overseas glamour here and now

Wayne and his wife Helena travel overseas often to source pieces from special designers to complement their other collections. When you next visit the store you can see the work of Adaya from Israel, Catherine Popesco from Paris, and Jill Schwartz from Massachusetts USA.

Desire’s first store has been open for business on cosmopolitan Brunswick Street for a while now. They have since added a second in the hyper groovy GPO building in the city on the corner of Bourke Street Mall and Elizabeth Street.

Their philosophy is to be always on the pulse of what’s happening right now in the world of fashion. So by bringing to Australia cutting edge pieces from around the globe, A Jewellery Store Named Desire is guaranteed to stay well ahead of local trends.
