The pursuit of excellence

The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is a Government-funded, not-for-profit organisation where the most talented and gifted young musicians from all over Australia come to study with the leaders in their field.

The cream of the crop

At ANAM these talented youngsters are nurtured to become the best they can be, as they start their careers as performing musicians.

Academy Musicians are under the age of 30 whilst the ANAM Young Academy consists of school-age performers. These are Australia’s finest young musicians and are truly the cream of the crop.

Nurturing young talent

Entrance to ANAM is by audition. The artistic team identifies talent at an early age, nurtures it and provides an exciting environment for performance skills to blossom.

ANAM launches careers with its alumni working and performing both nationally and internationally.

As good as they can get

ANAM young musicians gain the experience of being on stage and engaging with an audience. Their program is designed to develop talent leading to a career as a soloist or orchestral musician. Over 80 free events are held throughout the year for the public to enjoy and to foster community involvement.
