All welcome at The New Danish Club

Did you think The Danish Club on glorious Beaconsfield Parade was for members only? Did you wistfully drive by the impressive white columns and red and white flags thinking, “Why do Danes have all the fun?” Well we have great news for you!

The Danish Club, originally established in 1889 by a group of Danes to celebrate, preserve and share their culture and heritage, has become “The New Danish Club” and is now open to everyone.

Fine dining and great entertainment

Paul Taberner has taken over operations of the restaurant, functions and entertainment and made it his mission to bring you quality meals at affordable prices and great entertainment. The New Danish Club is a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the fine food and jazz accompanied with truly spectacular bay views.

Lunch and dinner

The Bayview Restaurant offers lunch Wednesday to Friday, dinner Wednesday to Sunday and the famous Danish Smorgasbord on the 1st Sunday of the month. Wednesday nights feature Dizzy’s, an 18 piece big band and on Sundays from 5pm you can kick up your heels to frontline jazz acts. Booking is highly recommended.

Functions

If you are having a function Paul can tailor a package for every budget and occasion. Come and have a look at the opulent, well equipped function room and discuss your needs with the experienced staff. They specialise in conferences and offer free on site parking.

Once you have been to The Danish Club you will realise it is one of
Melbourne’s best kept secrets – but not for long!
